Ok, if there is any truth to this, then Atletic-ho Madrid are being ****heads.

They want Peter Crouch as part of the Torres deal.

However, Liverpool would rather use Cisse as part of the deal.

I would be very disappointed if Liverpool parts with Crouch.

very nice Win by the USMNT, even though I felt Canada got screwed over bigtime.
    Agreed!!

Canada did get screwed by that offsides call, it wasn't even close. I'm wondering what Beasley's status will be with the team upon review of the missed opportunities in the Canada and Mexico games. It was nice to see the team play so well without Hejduk.

There was never any doubt that the US would beat Mexico... But seriously, the Gold Cup is great to win and all, but the competiton hasn't always been that great.

Taylor Twellman & Dempsey were very ****ing disappointing and I can't believe Beasley missed that empty net!!!

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Copa America is the tournament to get excited over.

Unfortunately, the U.S roster going into the tournament is pathetic.

Maybe someone can tell me something I don't know, but why bother going into a strong tournament with a weak team, when it's the one tournament other than the World Cup to get more experience playing against better opponents.

Argentina's roster for the Copa America

Arqueros: Roberto Abbondanzieri (Getafe, España), Juan Pablo Carrizo (River Plate) y Agustín Orión (San Lorenzo).

Defensores: Roberto Ayala (Valencia, España), Javier Zanetti (Inter, Italia), Nicolás Burdisso (Inter, Italia), Hugo Ibarra (Boca Juniors), Daniel Díaz (Boca Juniors), Gabriel Milito (Zaragoza, España), Gabriel Heinze (Manchester United, Inglaterra).

Volantes: Luis González (FC Oporto, Portugal), Javier Mascherano (Liverpool, Inglaterra), Esteban Cambiasso (Inter, Italia), Fernando Gago (Real Madrid, España), Pablo Aimar (Zaragoza, España), Juan Sebastián Verón (Estudiantes de La Plata) y Juan Román Riquelme (Boca Juniors).

Delanteros: Lionel Messi (FC Barcelona, España), Hernán Crespo (Inter, Italia), Diego Milito (Zaragoza, España), Carlos Tevez (West Ham, Inglaterra) y Rodrigo Palacio (Boca Juniors).

    That is just wrong.

Winning the Copa America wouldn't get them anything but some bragging rights. Now they go to the Confederations Cup and the world-class experience so desired from Copa America.

First of all, the U.S with their current best line up, do not stand a chance of winning Copa America 2007 over the Argentina and Brazil, or the Confederations Cup. Second of all, if they do win it against opponent with their best line up, it would be a lot more than bragging rights.

The point is, to get them to raise their standards by consistently playing against world class opponents.
