Interesting gossip in on the BBC website:
Thierry Henry was asked what other team he would have liked to play for, and "straight away I said Liverpool". (The Times, The Mirror)
John O'Shea is a Liverpool fan, according to Reading's Stephen Hunt, who grew up with the Manchester United star in Waterford, Ireland. "Now I've dropped him in it," added Hunt. (Daily Mail)
and then there is this:
Babayaro hit with three-match ban
Newcastle's Celestine Babayaro has admitted to a Football Association charge of violent conduct after a clash with Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt.

Liverpool 3-0 over Spurs. Great win. Great tactics and adjustments again made by Benitez.
Carragher rested for Champions League match, Hyppia replaces him. Gonzalez started on the left, Riise back on LB after Aurelio's good showing vs. Chelsea.
The team displayed tremendous passing attacks, especially in the second half when they took it to the Spurs. It could have been different had Jenas not miss the open net. However, when it's time to bring it, Liverpool have been showing consistency since last season, that they can shred anyone to pieces if they wanted to, and are even better at it this season. So, it wouldn't have mattered had Jenas scored.
Liverpool has three destroyers down the spine. Carragher, Sissoko, and Kuyt. The O.G destroyer Gerrard on the left, right or middle. Destroyers with attacking abilities, except for Carragher.
Kuyt's goal was probably offsides, but the Spurs were too busy admiring Kuyt's goal to complain about the offsides.
Gerrard with a sick move on the right to create Liverpool's first goal, and then a slick one touch pass for Riise's 35 yard rocket.
btw, Michael Dawson is one hell of a center back. But him and King were worn down by Kuyt and Bellamy in the second half.
Sissoko was still man of the match for me. Apparently, he has been fasting since 5am on game day due to his religion, yet still looked more energetic than anyone else on the pitch...unbelievable.
With the exception of Hyppia's distributions, the team looked GRRRREAT.

Cesc Fabregas is an amazing player. He already plays like a veteran at the age of 18.
Credit to Wenger to let Viera to make room for Cesc to sink and swim.

Cahill is a very good midfielder. He likes a tackle and has a knack for scoring goals. One of the better and underrated center mids in the EPL. I like his game a lot as well.
