The French league has never really caught my eye. FSC has showed Ligue 1 games the past few years and I never really got into it.
Watching Lyon in the Champions League is good enough. And Monaco had a nice run 3 years ago.
FC Bayern München announced on their homepage the signing of dutch international and Barcelona midfielder Mark van Bommel.
It is also written that Hargreaves has to stay.
Van Bommel will join München after a medical check next week.

BTW: it was just written in german (english will follow)
bwahahahhahaha Spurs are so bad. Unreal. I hate Everton, but ****, gotta hand it to them....
I had a feeling Spurs would have a problem living up to the hype. But it's only been a couple of games. They can still turn it around. What I mean is, don't write them off yet. As to Everton I hope their current run of form ends two weeks from now in the derby...bitter blue bastards!
Well Spurs fans can be consoled with the fact that Arsenal lost today as well.
1-0 to Manchester City.
Hey, you can take your photo of Giggs down. It worked, cool (ie he scored)? heh heh
Spurs clearly miss Carrick.
That Man City/Arse game was hella fun to watch. Paul Dickov has still got it.
Totally agree here, Martin Jol should have started Zokora, as he is the only midfielder who comes close to Carrick on that team. When Zokora came in at the end it seemed to help their organization in midfield a bit more. Edgar Davids had a HORRIBLE game and showed no control with the ball. Inversely, Arteta and Cahill on Everton made a huge difference in midfield and made it difficult for Tottenham to start any attack, what's even more amazing is that they played with a man down for 60 Minutes!!!
Arsenal hit the post like 3 times. Henry was in bad form and missed some clear chances in the 1st half. He was so bad that it seemed like he was afraid to take shots in the 2nd half. I still think that Arsenal deserved the W as they created chances all game long.
So far, Man U, despite missing Scholes & Rooney are going to be the team to beat, unless Chelsea can put all that talent to good use tomorrow...
Yea, Carrick is a really good player. Anytime you sell a guy of his caliber and don't sign anyone to replace him its going to hurt.Originally Posted by Mr. Irrelevant
MI, I disagree though that Zokora is the same type of player as Carrick. Zokora is a hard worker but nowhere near the passer that Carrick is. Zokora to me is a destroyer. He'll clog up the midfield and break up attacks but he doesn't offer much going forward.
I think the guy Spurs miss the most though is their Captain. Ledley King. They've been shaky at the back and Dawson's play has clearly suffered without his normal CB partner.
Also, speaking of Spurs, they signed Mido yesterday.

Mido was good last year for Spurs and seemed to enjoy his time in London. Rome was a disaster for him. This move doesn't solve Spurs problems at CM, LW, and RB, but it gives them depth up front. And if you want to compete in 2 or 3 competitions you have to have depth.
