Real Madrid's Caldron has just been on telly saying this is a done deal.
Edit: It is now confirmed.
"I am absolutely delighted to get the opportunity to work with such an incredible talent like Robinho. I have said that in order to compete with the best teams in the Premier League we have to be in the market for players of this calibre, and Robinho is undoubtedly one of the best players in the world."
Man City manager Mark Hughes.

Wild...
So Robinho and Jo up front? Can't imagine Hughes will use him as a winger to be honest.
Berbatov to United is confirmed too. Just knew Fergie would get his man.
City will be able to buy whoever the hell they want.
Abu Dhabi is a sovereign wealth fund that recently threw in billions to overtake one of the richest man in the world, Prince Alahweed(spell) to become the largest shareholders of the floundering Citigroup and to keep Citi solvent.
Pumping in 100m pounds a season into ManCity's transfer budget would be a drop in a bucket for them.
Yea, I think when Saha got sold that was sort of a red flag that he would get Berbatov at all costs. There's no way he would have gone the entire season with just Rooney, Tevez, and Campbell.
Granted that's basically what United did last year with Saha in the mix for the few weeks he was healthy, but there's no way that would fly again.
One problem though, Campbell went on loan to Spurs as part of the Berbatov transfer, which as I look at the United attack leaves them still very thin on the attacking front.
Last year I looked at United and thought if they have 2 or 3 long term injuries in midfield or attack they could be in some trouble when aiming for the title, nothing has changed to make be think that might still not happen, Berbatov is awesome but the depth is just not there. Chelsea are also short on depth up front but in midfield they have 8 midfield players that would start on most Premiership teams.
What's up with Rooney? He's not show much of anyhting in the last 2 years.
Seems like he's been a waste of late. He can still play well, just doesn't score. Position change might do him some good... cause Tevez is much better for Man U at this point...and I don't see Berbatov being benched. But definitely hasn't lived up to the praise Best, Maradonna and Pele once gave him. Then again, he's just a kid.
