Look at Chelsea's best players in each position under Mourinho's era. The 4-3-3 with robben, jcole, and duff on the pitch together were the most offensively potent Chelsea squad.

Carvalho and Ferreira are the only ones scouted and bought by Mourinho because he was already familiar with them, and he grossly overpaid for Ferreira. SWP was bought just so Liverpool couldn't have him...and partly SWP's fault for going with the money and ended up rotting on the bench.

Ashley Cole and Ballack didn't need any scouting, either...only a dumbass wouldn't have made bids for them, especially when Jose failed with Del Horno.

I can't be bothered to provide the list of players that belongs to Ranieri and Peter Kenyon's scouting work. I mentioned Peter Kenyon because he was already coveting several of the players I mentioned while he was still with ManUnited. If you compare the buys that Mourinho were responsible for Chelsea, you'll realize just how poor Jose was in the transfer market.

The bottom line is, give Mourinho a talent base to work with and he'll be fine. How is that different from Benitez taking over and winning at Valencia and his success as a youth coach at Real Madrid? You think Mourinho would have built a squad as good from scratch 5 years ago? He would have gotten us Tiago instead of Alonso.

Now that Rick Parry has resigned, it will only give Benitez the same freedom Ferguson and Wenger enjoys in the transfer market, then we will see if Rafa is good enough for the job.

Up until Man United signed Edwin Van De Saar, both United and Barca have had problems replacing legendary keepers. Schmeichel for Man United and Zubizarreta for Barca.

Check out this list of guys that United tried to replace Schmeichel: Mark Bosnich, Fabien Barthez, Roy Carroll, Tim Howard, Ricardo, etc. United won titles after the Great Dane left but the position was never really solidified until we Van De Saar came north.

Barca have had similar issues, Mr. I you probably know more names than I do but it seems like Barca have gone through a ton of goalies as well: Vitor Baia, Victor Valdes, Recber Rustu among otheres.

Barca have also had a few other goalies Arnau, Reina (which never could solidify the position), and 2 other german dudes I can't remember. They NEED Buffon!!!

Like that'll ever happen. But seriously Barca is ****ed. I can't say they deserve the title with the way Madrid is playing. Madrid is playing like they want ot more and it makes me ill.

Great points, and I guess the moral of the story is, don't post on LGK when you're on a bender, because you don't make sense.

The race for 4th is back on. Villa has Spurs at home and away to Liverpool and United in the next three. Three of our last six to finish the year are against the top three.

Liverpool just handed Real Madrid their biggest ass whoopin' in Europe in twenty years.

Casillas, Ramos, Pepe, Cannavaro, Heinze? No problem.
