It's getting pretty close to pre-season and there are lots of movements to be made, I still blame Madrid for pretty much ruining everything.
    I know, right?

If Tevez's performance at West Ham didn't convince you, then nothing will.

Tevez gets overhyped. He's undoubtedly skilled and his tenacity is unmatched but there are plenty of games where he runs around like a chicken with his head cut off. His boundless energy gets him in trouble. He runs around like a maniac accomplishing really nothing. As John Wooden once said, "don't mistake activity for achievement".

Tevez had a great end run for West Ham to save them from relegation, but this is an example of people overlooking his overall contribution. Maybe if he didn't go through a goal-less streak in when he was first at West Ham they aren't in the relegation battle later on in the year.

I appreciate Tevez for all his efforts in the last two EPL titles and the Champions League victory, people act as if Tevez was the lynchpin on which the United attack was built when this was hardly the case (not you specifically Alonso).

Exactly, like I said, I appreciate all Tevez did for United but he was certainly not the most important performer in the squad. The man scored FIVE goals in the Prem last year. FIVE! Did he get less time that last year? Sure, but he still got into 29 games. By comparison, Wayne Rooney played in 30 games and scored twelve times and people still complain about his strike rate. It should be noted that Tevez always played up front while Rooney spent far more time planted on a wing.

Again, Tevez is a great player but not the foundation the United attack was built on.

Look- United has shown time and time again they care about one thing: Winning. **** tradition, **** loyalty to players, **** what the fans think, **** what the pundits say, **** the financials- Man United are going to win.

If Tevez in the lineup would have lead to more wins, he would've been in the lineup more.

Is the brother talented? Sure. No question. But when the depth chart has Ronaldo and Rooney and Berbatov, etc. etc. on it as well, its tough to get time for anybody.

We'll find out once he starts for Citeh.
City have a lot of attacking players and don't play in Europe. It will be interesting to see how Hughes divides playing time. Coming from the United school of thought I'm sure he'll want to mix and match up front.

Stewart downing signs from Villa from Middlesbrough - Transfers - ESPN Soccernet

Anticipating the sale of Ashley Young? Young can also play up front to partner Agbonlahor or Carew. Anyways, one of Villa's problems last year was depth, their squad was just not big enough so this helps offset some of their losses. United said they were done with business but I'm praying they make a monster bid for Ashley Young.

Barcelona sign (left) Wingback Maxwell from Inter Milan. Basically Sylvinho's replacement. Barca still trying to get David Villa from Valencia's death grip.

Gourcuff is going to be great, be he was prematurely called the next Zidane which ruined him while at AC Milan. He'll be fine.

So Inter sign Lucio and lose Maxwell. I wonder if Santon will continue to play at left back even though he's a natural right sided player. 4.3m for Maxwell is an absolute steal. Hleb may also be part of the deal.

It's not so much that Barcelona want Villa, but Villa himself is anxious to make the move himself. Llorente will break eventually.

I still expect a move for another DM for Barcelona by the time the summer is over, maybe Poulsen.

I think Villa are seriously trying to build a squad for a chance at the title. Not this year, but in the near future.
