Ryan Giggs is in fine form. If I remember right, he's been directly involved in the last five United goals.
A goal and 6 assists in the last 3 games out of 8 goals scored.
I'm surprised he lasted as long as he did...
BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | M | Man Utd | Owen out after new injury setback
Not a really serious injury. But it does seem like Owen's best role is that of a super sub, not sure if he's a 90 minute player anymore.
Ferguson might have been doing Owen a favor, handing him a start with Capello watching, but he probably shouldn't have even played. There were reports of Owen missing training prior to the Wolfsburg match.
Luckily, early in October is an easy month for United and there's some international games mixed in. I'm sure Owen has October 25th circled on his calendar as a date to try and be healthy by.
That's what I think too, another Solksjaer on the team.
Right, if he is good at that role as the Baby Faced Assassin was then Owen is a huge asset for United and perhaps England, if he's fit of course. I mean if you're Capello, who would you want coming off the bench late when you're pushing for a goal. Michael Owen or Peter Crouch? That answer is easy for me.
So you Liverpool fans tired of Lucas yet? He was just dreadful yesterday. Both Man United and Liverpool's backlines have left a lot to be desired this year. Although Drogba outclassed everyone yesterday. He didn't score but was easily the best player on the field yesterday. Made Carragher look really ordinary, especially on that second goal.
I read Aquillani could be ready soon, seems like he would be arriving at just the right time.
