That's how champions respong baby. I think Berbatov is in for a big year. Nice first goal from Owen as well.

Jermaine Defoe is turning out to be quite a finisher. Great game going on between Spurs and West Ham.

Burnley prove they are going to be tough to beat at home this season.

They have a very talented young scottish manager.(One of a few that are kicking around right now.)

Man City agree fee for Everton defender Joleon Lescott - Barclays Premier League - ESPN Soccernet

24m pounds for Lescott. It makes Glen Johnson's signing look more like a bargain for Liverpool.

Manchester United line up shock swoop for former Chelsea star Arjen Robben | Mail Online

This would be ironic since United basically had Robben in the bag, then Chelsea swooped in and got him and United bought Ronaldo. Now Ronaldo goes to Madrid, and Robben possibly signs with United.

The Gunners cruise past Celtic, but I did not like that Eduardo took a dive to secure a penalty shot. That being said, Arsenal has been the victim of a penalty awarded on a dive a few times so I guess it all comes around.

Plus it's not as if it's the first time an Arsenal player has ever dove before.

Not saying you did. I'm just pointing out that it's pointless to worry or to be upset about your team diving for penalties. It happens, it's basically part of the game. Every team does it, it sucks, but that's the way it is.
