The technical ability is excellent but Italy has a history of defence first football which has eased decidedly over recent seasons, but I have still been watching some games and suddenly realised I am thoroughly bored and turned it off. But I think you nailed it, the pace is just that much slower.

I remember a game once where a draw suited both teams and they ended up just passing to each other for 90 minutes, I doubt that would be tolerated now, but with Italian football who knows.

don't forget JPA bungling that sweet pass from Lopez which should have been a sitter, and being only 2 pts ahead of RSL and them having 5 games in hand is worrisome

the only saving grace I give to JPA is that the pass bounced a little and may have been hard to contr.....nah forget it. the f*** too JPA!

Yeah I agree. The Galaxy needs to start winning more of their away games going forward.

in what seems to be true Bruce Arena fashion, they again went up 1-0 and completely took the foot off the pedal.

I'm not even sure Barrett meant to direct the header the way he did, but sweet finish. Nice cross from sir becks.

Being it was an "away" game, I fully expected them to give up a goal in the last 10 minutes. I'll take the win!

Beckham to miss Wednesday night's game to fly back and play in Neville's testimonial. Should be back for Saturday I believe.

Yeah I will take this "away" game win as well man! Points are points right now, because Salt Lake has 5 in hand atm. They will start raking in more points very soon I think

Boy, another desultory performance by the Galaxy last night. Only goal was by a PK, and almost none of their shots were actually on goal. Sure, Becks might have helped some, but until somebody else besides Landon gets shots actually on the frame, no way this team competes for the title.
