And we struggled against Slovenia and we struggled against Algeria. You know everyone can be like "oh my god yay! so happy we made it ahh go go USA!" but in reality this was a VERY bad showing for the U.S. and they are supremely lucky to get out of the group. They must step it up if they want to go anywhere in the knockout rounds. No more of this score in the 85th + minute and give up goals in the first 20. Like I said against Slovenia...the quality squads will clamp you down easy. Not convinced at all. We are done after Saturday. Our defense is unsure, our offense is looking better each game. I just don't like it. England was a terrible gage cause they too have had the poorest showing i have seen. We got to do more then win on crap goals in the 90+ minute if we want to be considered a top 15 FIFA team, which in my opinion is an absolute gift of a ranking. We give midfielders way too much space, and a team with real quality will make us pay again and again. Slovenia did for 45 then we turned it around. England for some reason didn't exploit the space. I have watched Germany spread the wing in both games they play brilliantly, if we face them in the next round it is going to be ugly. U.S. still has not impressed. Their game has been poor. Even though the results state otherwise.
