Wow, can't believe both of the 2006 World Cup finalists didn't make it out of qualifiers.

The best part is that the euro teams are going to be knocking each other out in the next round...

Just got back from the Dutch game, wow, what a difference in atmosphere, I have never experienced Dutch fans and that was something special for me today.

The video is incredibly cheesy but its good stuff nonetheless. If they keep advancing we might be able to start calling ourselves a soccer nation...maybe

nki, I think Jaygokings is the only one that will argue with that. 2 decent mids in Donovan and Dempsey and Howard in goal. Bradley seems to be a clutch player but not a huge talent. When a 21 year old that's done absolutely nothing so far in Europe is your only half decent forward you're in bad shape.

I definitely hear you guys on this. FIFA has them at 14 in the world, which is AN ABSOLUTE GIFT, of a ranking. I am saying we DO have the talent, we just never have the intelligence of the game, which is totally something that can be learned and developed.

It's like...Landon Donovan staying in the MLS for as long as he has, and how this is the first year where more of our players have come from the European leagues then our own, which is a debacle of a league. We are on the cusp of getting there, but it's just still ugly soccer in my eyes. And it's self inflicted wounds. Players not going to Europe to learn the better game, our league having one of the dumbest salary caps/non free movement market like every other soccer league in the world does. The MLS to me is like communism, let's have the brilliant idea of forcing everyone to be equal...in turn everyone suffers with poor quality.

I am not arguing that we didn't deserve to get to the group stages, but our showing against lesser teams should have been better....or maybe it shouldn't have. I feel like we have the players now, just maybe not the mentality, style, or intelligence to be a 14 overall.

I have always laughed at how badly FIFA overrates us. Remember when we were like 6 in the world? Ha. I am critical cause other nations have done more with much much less.

Spain vs. Chile was fun to watch. Let's start the final round...
