LMAO, yeah you're not gonna get a hand-ball call, Henry. That's called KARMA, sir.
Good match, Uruguay's swarming defense really frustrated France.
God I can't wait till tomorrow.
Uruguay v. France
0-0 tie
Analysis:
Uruguay played a very very tight defensive game. There wasn't much given to France, but when there was chances given, France did an absolutely awful job of trying to execute. France seemed to get incredibly flustered in their attacking 3rd. Seemed like whenever they got anywhere near the goal their creativity just ran completely dry. Shots from 30 yards out aren't going to get you out of group stages France. Uruguay, playing just defense isn't going to get you out of group stages either. I honestly think of this group RSA and Mexico looked like the two stronger teams. But the next round will tell. Changes will be made certainly.
Final Verdict: France should be disappointed. This was a game that they matched up very well in. Uruguay known for their defensive game, France known for their quick creativity and dismantling of defense with possession. This was France's game to win, and they didn't.
Man of the Match: Uruguay's defense, Lugano, Godin, Max Pereira and Victorino, played a phenomenal game, standing strong on the line. Clean tackles, smart containment, good marking, keeping most shots to outside the box and limiting chances inside the 18.
Is it Saturday morning yet?
I just got back from the French game. Domenech is a frigging idiot. My friend and I could not believe that he had Anelka as a lone striker with virtually no support. Neither Gouvou or Ribery are inside forwards and in order for that formation to work he needed a Robben where Govou was.
Anelka did what he does best for Chelsea and often broke to the right with the ball at his feet but that left Govou with nothing to do, Gourcuff completely mindless that he needed to fill the space Anelka left and Ribery isolated on the flank. Anelka needed help, I can't help but feel leaving Benzema at home was a bad idea.

Mexico should have scored more, Dos Santos looked very dangerous early....but he completely disapeared in the second half. One wonders if the RSA sub LB had something to do with that. Perez looked shakey more than a few times and was out of position on some of the RSA shots. This doesn't bode well for the Tri's.
Blanco is an excellent sub for the Tri's in an even or behind game. He'll make plays, but don't look for him to defend anything.
The Frenchies are a mess, and the 3-5-1 doesn't work. Uruguay's defense is very tough, and at this point I wouldn't be surprised at all if they won the group.
