Interesting draw. Spain seems to have it quite easy. I'm not sure what to make my my boys' pool. Denmark, Japan and Cameroon? Hrm...knowing Holland, they'll do well...and then choke when it matters. Sigh.

Pretty happy with what Slovenia got. I think we will be OK against Algeria, the USA game will be the key, England is England. I think USA is very manageable.

As far as the rest of the groups go, there aren't many that jump out at me. I think A and E will be pretty tight, G looks hard, but I'm thinking Brazil and Portugal, although I wouldn't dismiss Portugal ****ting the bed. Argentina and especially England got it pretty easy, though with Diego Maradona everything is possible.

Happy to say we (England) have a not so difficult group, for a change.
I don't think any of the groups will provide a big surprise..

Great draw for the US. I was expecting the worst and we got the best possible result barring drawing South Africa from pot 1. Algeria and Slovenia, Slovakia or Switzerland were the teams I was hoping we'd get. England were great in qualifying but I'd rather be playing them than Brazil or Spain.

It's definitely a manageable group, but it surely won't be easy. Algeria went into a hostile, hostile environment and survived against Egypt. Slovenia can play a good trap, and can counter. (you know Kopitar will be watching)

I wish the England game was last in the group, rather than first. I hope a thrashing doesn't destroy US confidence.

We're definitely able to take 2nd in the group, but again it won't be a cake walk...

Bottom line - can anyone really fill the striking role before June to replace Davies? (not fully convinced about altidore yet)
Still not sure whether Gooch will play or not, but I'd feel much more comfortable if he does...

It's definitely not going to be easy. Other than a half against Egypt and Brazil and the Spain game the US was terrible at the Confed Cup and was complacent as it gets in qualifying. Who knows which team is going to show up at the World Cup. If Gooch and Davies are out it's even more of a toss up. Just saying the draw went as well as it could.

Stoked on that draw personally. What an opener too--against the Limeys.

How about Portugal, Ivory Coast and Brazil all matched together--wow. Good to see North Korea be the official punching bag of that group too.
