    From skysports

Chelsea have completed the signing of Barcelona playmaker Deco for a reported fee of £7.9million.

It is understood Deco has agreed a two-year deal in West London and that he will cost Chelsea a fee in the region of 10million euros (£7.9m).

I think this means Lampard is off to Inter Milan.

Deco is a solid player but I don't think he is that much better than Lampard, I think Lampard is a better player.

It helps when the former club devalues the player.

Spain has played a tremendous tournament and had the upper hand in almost every aspect of the final...ball posession, passing...everything was close to perfect.

Germany was somehow playing like the Kings, some decent approaches, but altogether too sloppy and uncreative. The only ray of hope was Jens Lehmann, without his breathtaking saves we could have ended up down four or five goals.

Anyhow, congrats to Spain. The show continues in South Africa in two years...I'm already excited.
I'll say this about the final. The Germans probably had the worst strategy possible especially in the second half. They had way more size than the Spainards, I don't think the long ball is a great strategy but it should have been used against Spain.

I don't think Spain played great D, they were good but the Germans were just subpar.

I disagree, Deco devalued himself for 2 seasons. I think Barca was just desperate to sell someone.

Perhaps, just hard for me to see Lampard fitting in. I figure Scolari will still run his favored 4-3-3. Chelsea have a very good winger in Cole and I think Malouda is better than what he showed. Kalou still has promise as well, they are linked with Robinho and I think he'll fit in as a winger as well.

I think they'll unleash Ballack as their attacking mid with Deco pulling the strings in his deep lying playmaker role and Essien will be let loose in midfield as well. He is wasted at RB and with Bosingwa in the fold he won't have to play there out of neccasity. I'm not sure what Makelele's situation is but he is still a useful player and they have Mikel to rotate in and out of there.

While I still think Lampard is a fine player, better than Deco, he might be considered surplus parts by Scolari.

Which probably helped devalue the player...

Could be Man United's biggest lost or second biggest loss of the summer depending on another Portuguese person.
