Do you mean in attitude or styles of play? Because style of play wise the 2 are completely different. It really is amazing United were able to win two trophies last year without a proper #9 for pretty much the entire year. Berbatov would be a welcome addition.

Attitude wise I'm not really worried, Berbatov wants to be at Man United and even though he's a moaner Sir Alex will keep him in check.

Atleast Real Madrid aren't getting him. I think Kaka is a bit overrated anyways.

That's good. That would have been absolutely ridiculous!

Might just be me, but I think turning down that offer was ridiculous.

By the way Mr I, Barcelona are over in Scotland for a pre-season tour, I will be catching one of their games.

    Agreed.

Turning down 80m for a player who will never be worth that amount is bad business.

At the same time, it is easier said than done to sell Kaka considering his age and his status amongst AC Milan supporters.

Burlesconi isn't going to make himself look bad to the supporters, and Kaka didn't say he is definitely staying at Milan either, so I doubt the deal is dead.

    Argentina Olympics squad:
Soccer By Ives: Argentina unveils Olympic squad (let the chase for silver begin)
Goalkeepers- Oscar Ustari (Getafe), Sergio Romero (AZ Alkmaar),

Defenders- Pablo Zabaleta (Espanyol), Ezequiel Garay (Racing Santander), Federico Fazio (Sevilla), Nicolas Burdisso (Internazionale), Luciano Monzon (Boca Juniors),

Midfielders- Fernando Gago (Real Madrid), Ever Banega (Valencia), Javier Mascherano (Liverpool), Juan Roman Riquelme (Boca Juniors), Angel Di Maria (Benfica), Jose Sosa (Bayern Munich), Diego Buonanotte (River Plate),

Forwards- Lionel Messi (Barcelona), Ezequiel Lavezzi (Napoli), Lautaro Acosta (Sevilla) and Sergio Aguero (Atletico Madrid).

The most glaring absence? Real Madrid forward Gonzalo Higuain is nowhere to be found, which is pretty shocking. I also wonder where Mauro Zarate is, although he might have begged out to prepare for his new club, Lazio.

And here is a projected Starting XI:

    ------------Messi----------Aguero------------

    Di Maria--------Riquelme--------------Sosa

    ------------Gago-------Mascherano---------

    ---Zabaleta----Burdisso----------Garay----

    ------------------Ustari---------------------

    Brazil Olympic Squad
Soccer By Ives: Robinho and Ronaldinho lead Brazil's Olympic team
Goalkeepers: Diego Alves (Almeria), Renan (Internacional).

Defenders: Ilsinho (Shakhtar Donetsk), Rafinha (Shalke), Marcelo (Real Madrid), Alex Silva (Sao Paulo), Breno (Bayern Munich), Thiago Silva (Fluminense).

Midfielders: Anderson (Manchester United), Diego (Werder Bremen); Hernanes (Sao Paulo), Lucas (Liverpool), Ronaldinho (FC Barcelona), Thiago Neves (Fluminense).

Forwards: Alexandre Pato (AC Milan), Jo (Manchester City), Rafael Sobis (Real Betis), Robinho (Real Madrid).

So what might this lineup look like? Here's a potential starting XI:

    ----------Robinho---------Pato------------

    ------Ronaldinho---------Diego------------

    --------Lucas--------------Anderson-------

    Marcelo------Silva----Breno------Rafinha

    -------------------Alves---------------------

    Can you say....DAYAMN!

I do like the suggested Argentina formation with Gago and Mascherano as DMs.
