Ready for Adu to start? Actually started to look creative when he came in. Unfortunately our forwards were unable to follow where he was leading the ball.
Glad I opted out of the trip to london at the last minute and saved some cash.
US plays like that against Spain the final score will be much worse.
With Donovan out for the Spain game I would like to see Adu start. There's really no reason for Wolff to even be in the squad at this point in his career. I don't think Donovan and Adu can be in the same squad, unless you play Donovan as a right sided midfielder and sacrifice Dempsey.

It is disappointing that Altidore won't play. I would rather see him in there rather than EJ. It is still early in EJ's career so you can't really give up on him but he hasn't done much in a US jesey lately.

Is Michael Bradley really supposed to our midfield general of the future? He's young and inexperienced on the international level so perhaps he deserves a break but he's looked horrible today.

Nepotism! I agree that he has been very unspectacular in international competition thus far

The US should have handed the keys over to Jurgen Klinsman. Just sayin'.

I think they tried. It's not as easy as it sounds.

In other news, Giovani Dos Santos has signed with Tottenham. I'm very positive he'll need atleast a full year of Premiership experience to be effective, and on top of that he won't be playing alongside Thierry Henry and Leo Messi. I have faith that Ramos can put him in his proper position: Attacking Mid and NOT Right Wing like Dikjaard.

Also Barca have just about wrapped up signing Daniel Alves from Sevilla and they also recently Uruguayan int'l defender Martin Caceres. Gerard Pique maybe expendable now...

I've heard many stories that Klinnsman wanted a complete overhaul of the US system, from coaches to developmental systems, etc. all the way up. And he wanted control of it.

Sunil and many others at the USSF, realizing this would undermine they're power (and jobs) nixed the idea.

    Rumor-mongering, but you never know.

The US still looked a lot better with Adu in the lineup. Would love to see Freddy and Donovan linking up with Altidore together. Bradley sure does love sticking with Eddie Johnson.

Oy next week - bus trip north for the san jose/galaxy match saturday night, back right after for the US world cup qualifier here sunday afternoon. Let's get it on
