Nice!
This.
this is basically what Ketel and i did last night... we got to the Norton Simon, and by that time, Mr. I had found us and drove us the rest of the way to Parsons.
funny though, because when you consider the Old Town traffic on Colorado at 11:00, we probably would've beaten Mr I. to Parsons on foot.
Ugh, traffic was terrible and I'm really starting to hate Pasadena. Even the Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles there pisses me off.
Speaking of soccer, it was great to see Leo Messi in person. The kid is a wizard with the ball, he is going to be a huge part of soccer history so consider yourself lucky for seeing him play in person. Barcelona's youth players are so ****ing good. There's a great article in today's LA TIMES that discusses Barcelona's tradition of finding the best youth players and having them grow at their football academy. Bojan, Busquets, Pedro, and Muniesa are just a few of the young players who will be leading the team in the next 4-5 years.
Xavi, Puyol and Henry were sofa king good!!!
yes. yes, it is always like that. i went to a rose bowl game a few years ago when usc played. my old boss hooked me up with directions to park at a friend's house up in the hills. we had to walk a long way to the bowl, but we didn't have to go through all the traffic for parking. walking took A LOT LESS time than it would have if we parked where everyone else did.
well, you can't beat the roscoe's in the hood... ;)
otherwise, when there aren't any events going on in pasadena, the city's quite nice. it's my second favorite place in LA besides the south bay. don't your bros live there...?
anyway, i really would've loved to have gone with you guys but i get tired easily lately so showing up early, leaving late and all that walking amongst 85,000+ people probably would have made me  lol.
glad to hear you all had a nice time though. :)
Yeah, my bros live in Pasadena, but they are also smart enough to live east of Lake Ave.
Had a pretty good time. Lots of people came up to ask who Victorine was (on back of my galaxy jersey) - yes this was long before he died and went to chivas
Met a guy from spain on the golf course that came out for a vacation - he showed me his passport. Got the impression he had been to southern california a few times before when he said to me "damn a lot of these people in barcelona jerseys look like they're from glendale"
good times
