Default Who the hell ran at Beckham tonight?

OK, was at the Galaxy game tonight (free tickets from the Riptide game earlier) and way away from the play it became obvious someone (nut) ran from off the field and was attacking/approaching Beckham. I thought I saw one of the Colorado players give a nice kick to whoever was already down. Beckam's body guard and one of the security guys were almost instananiously on the field taking the person into custody and jogging him off the field.

Did anyone see the whole thing? What the heck happened?

BTW, this being my first in-person soccer game since the 1994 World Cup, it was really fun (just saw the second half though). The chanting section in 138 was great to sit near to (we were in 136).

    glad you enjoyed the game.

I was in 138, and it was hard to see from the other end of the field. But from what I heard chris klein apparently took down the fan that ran onto the field right before security got there.
On the "fan" who ran onto the field, beckham said:

"I was slightly concerned when I first saw him running up because he didn't have a smile on his face and he wasn't wearing a Galaxy shirt."
saw security escorting the guy out. Just another idiot fan thinking he's cool. luckily nothing happened.

another highlight, ely allen's dance after his goal (skip to 2:30 for quick effect):

It was Klein who took the guy down.

He just wanted a hug. My question is why didn't Beckham handle the problem himself?

Your section definitely kicks butt!! I loved the disclaimer sign that I walked by about entering your section. Something like:

    **********
    NOTICE

The group in section 138 will be standing and chanting throughout the game

    Consider yourself warned.
    **********
How cool is that? I think I'll be going back.

(And I thought that 304 at Staples was the shiznit for hockey...well they still are for that venue, but 138 at HDC is a whole different world. Cheers!)

Actually that sign is new this year. Since the section(s) (now 138 and 137) is generally considered open seating, there were a few instances of people buying tickets without knowing where they were sitting, and either asking people to move out of their seats or to sit down.
The FO in collaboration decided it would be helpful to at least put the sign up.

If you make another game this year let me know, first beer is on me.

Allen was hilarious. Between him and Pires there could be a heavy dance-off.
