The organization pays for it, and in return, they should ask the fans to donate money to a charity of the organization's choosing.
Simple as that.

At least the city does not have to worry about paying for a parade for any other team in LA.
The City of Pittsburg had to pay for two parades this year.
Thank Yahweh (and Buddha if he's not too busy) that Los Angeles only has the Dodgers and Lakers to worry about when it comes to parade costs.
I was hoping a car on the 110 was going to run over those idiots that climbed up the embankment and onto the freeway a few minutes ago.
The cost of the cleanup from the rioting is going to cost more than a $1 million!
Ask all those idiots that are rioting in front of Staples Center to pay for it. They are trashing it anyway. I wish they would just shoot them and get it over with !
Why doesn't the city or team get Nike, Reebok, Coke or McDonalds to sponsor it ? Charge a couple million and have banners and crap all over the city for a day or two. Everyone wins.
On behalf of the Intergalactic Minority Delegation, I apologize for the idiots that are running rampant throughout the city.

Well the Lakers said they'd pay for half of it which is a good start. There's no reason they can't afford to pay for the whole thing, which would make them look a lot better. I'm going to guess they made more than $2 mil during the playoffs.
As for getting a corporate sponsor, it's not a bad idea but I'm guessing the logistics of getting the companies to agree to pay for it, print the signage and banners you suggest and then have them hung along the parade route isn't feasible between tonight and Wednesday.
Besides, all that signage would just become kindling for the Wednesday bonfires.
