Happy Birthday, Kobe | player, high, nba - Sports - The Orange County Register
Thirty-two years ago a star was born.
That star would grow up and learn how to dribble and shoot a basketball. He would shine as a high school player at Lower Merion High in Philadelphia, skip college and head right to the pro ranks.
As he matured and grew stronger, his determination would burn brightly and his dominance shine on NBA courts from Los Angeles to New York, from Seattle to Florida and to strange lands overseas. He would own five NBA titles and an Olympic gold medal before he turned 32 years old.
That player is Kobe Bryant, who celebrates his birthday today.
