Garnett, O'neill and Marion were all vocal in wanting to play with Kobe. They were all open to it. Hardly not wanting to play with Kobe. The reason has always been the fact that nobody wants the Lakers to win (see Mchale) and that they have nothing in return (Sasha, Kwame, Cook, etc).
As far as Baron goes. He's a good guy, good player, but he's still Baron Davis. Kobe. Baron. You don't trade your superstar for an allstar unless he brings his entire team with him.
The only thing that i pray to happen is that Bynum and Crittenten come around and produce.
Honestly I don't follow the NBA as much as I do the other sports, but there is something about Kobe that just gets under my skin. Maybe it's those feelings that make my posts about trading him un-realistic.
I miss the days of Magic, Worthy, and Kareem. They just went out there and played basketball. Kareem and Magic didn't get along, but they were great teamates on the court.
No doubt that Kobe is the best player in the league. But basketball is a team sport. When he 'tanked' in the 2nd half of that playoff game vs. Phoenix a couple years ago, I fell off the Kobe bandwagon.
I sort of enjoyed watching Shaq and Wade win it with Miami. Kobe couldn't have enjoyed that too much.
Yah, I guess i'm just a Kobe hater. Not a Laker hater.
Glad D.Fisher is back on the team.
I think it's funny when players like Marion or Andrei asks for a trade everything is gravy. When players like Garnett or Lebron asks for help, everything is cool. But if Kobe asks for help then it's not ok.
And don't even reply with it's his fault that Shaq was gone and that he's the one this and that. Please.
Phil Jackson said it wasn't his fault. Shaq said it wasn't his fault. Period.
And you're right when you say that you're a Kobe hater. You and the rest of the media.
I love Kobe no doubt, but i also hate him at times. Kobe is an ******* for wanting to leave, but at the same breath, i think he's right in doing so.
With that said, Kobe hater, lover, we're all the same. I think we're all just frustrated that the Lakers suck big balls. We're all spoiled fans who just want to win.
Just showing some Laker Love![]()
Man Kobe. . .no means no. How many times does he have to hear that? Anyway. . .some more news. Looks more and more likely that Kobe is gonna be gone soon.
Lakers are asking for a package of Luol Deng, Ben Gordon, Tyrus Thomas and Joakim Noah. I'll take it. MUCH better than that garbage deal we got for Shaq. The Kobe Bryant-to-Chicago trade talks are very real, and they've been real for a while.
The Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls have been having daily discussions about Bryant trade possibilities for at least the past week, with Bryant's no-trade clause throwing a unique wrench into the situation, according to sources.
Lots of people call him selfish. The MAIN difference between the two guys is that no one ever questioned his desire to win and put the team first. Kobe has been questioned on that a LOT. Not saying any of it is 100% true, but the simple matter of things is that the appearance is that Kobe wants to win. . .but on his terms.
Oh. . .and just for another instance of this happening. . .
Jackson questions Kobe's commitment
Vince Carter anyone?Obviously he hasn't thrown his heart and soul into performing on the floor," Jackson told reporters after practice Saturday. "That hurts me a little bit. … He was going to work at this thing and [would] put his full being into this. Right now, he's having a hard time doing that.
