I still don't think this will be a quiet summer.

I'm still down for shipping Bynum/Odom/Brown to Indiana for Jermaine O'Neal. He's no KG but he'd definitely provide a strong inside presence.

Laker myopia at an all time high. I guess they have the one man's trash is another man's treasure perspective about their team. Most Laker fans do nothing but bitch about Odom, Brown, Parker, etc..., and yet apparently packaging all these guys together is going to be appealing for some other team to take. Kind of like the old Dempsey, Army and a late round pick for <insert elite NHL player here> threads that are always so en vogue. Pathetically unrealistic, but always enjoyable.

Oh...and not a response to you DRD, more listening to the bozos on the radio. And AM 570 continues to suck deeper and deeper with every passing day.

With the NBA it's a whole different animal, though. Look at most big trades and you'll find a plethora of overpaid stiffs who have to be included to make a deal work salarywise. Realisitically Bynum and Odom are valuable players who very well could fetch a nice player in return if said player's team is looking to shed a huge salary.

True enough, I see the logic in it. There seems to be a lot of pessimism toward Bynum at this stage though, which, whether other GM's are paying attention to it or not, will not make his addition as attractive as it might have been a year or so ago.

Honestly, I don't really even pay attention to the sport aside from it being the year round discussion on LA sports radio. I'd rather they trade Kobe, then I might consider becoming a Laker fan again.

Keep in mind that Bynum won't even turn 20 years old until October 27th of this year. The kid is young and very raw but he's got a big frame and he's shown flashes of what he's capable of. The problem is the Lakers are in no position to wait out his growing pains.

Well according to ESPN and Yahoo!, the two teams are still in talks about moving Garnett for Bynum and Odom

That sounds like it could be a much better fit for all parties involved.

    Damn.
