Hmm, I don't think adding Kidd is the right move at this point. 5 years ago, absolutely but Jason Kidd today doesn't make this team a contender.

This is ridiculous. There is NO team in the NBA that will give equal return on Kobe Bryant. Zero. Trading Kobe will not make the Lakers a better team.

Are our memory's so short that we've forgotten that trading Shaq was supposed to make us a deeper and more talented team while getting rid of an aging player who wanted too much money? A win-win situation! Yeah, that trade turned out well, didn't it?

Any package of players that the Lakers do receive in return for Bryant will be so heavily critiqued that there's no way they can live up the pressure from fans and the media, regardless of who the players are. At least when Odom, Butler and the rest of the garbage the Lakers got from the Heat came to LA Kobe was still the main storyline in the locker room. These new players will not have that luxury. Their play will be ultra-magnified on a nightly basis and anything short of a deep playoff run will most likely cause this city to devour them whole.

This is so ****ing ridiculous.

I hope this goes away, but if he is, it won't be more than a few years before another hall of famer comes to LA. I think i've already prepared in my mind that Kobe will be gone.
