Gonna have to disagree here with Trapp. Black doesn't look good with gold AND purple. I still like the silver/purple/black or just go with gold/purple.
Whatever the case we are unfortunately stuck with the crap we have now for some time so might as well move on....you know like with Blake and his so-to-be-retired jersey.

I agree. I like black with purple trim.

Seeing a Laker thread in "Home Ice" reminds me of the time I was at TSC and got Kopi's autograph, and the guy behind me had Kopi sign a piece of basketball flooring. (he was waiting for Laker autographs)

i think the purple and gold really pop with the black... really ties the room together...
there was a mockup someone did on here a while back of a black jersey with gold/purple crown and accents that was the bee's knees.

Can every team in every sport wear black?

Some where - even if they're not dead, Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, George Mikan, Gail Goodrich, Wilt Chamberlain, James Worthy, and Michael Cooper are rolling around in their graves.
Just another ploy by the NBA for people to buy $100 jerseys...which is weird...because of all the major sports...fans at basketball games look totally lame sporting hoops jerseys. I mean...LAME!

I was just trying to be funny. See, "Los Doyers" or "Los Lakers".... nevermind.

For the THIRD time, I was NOT trying to invoke a Lakers conversation. I, too, couldn't care less.
