We might not sweep the next round, but Utah or SA won't test the talent on this team. I still believe that they are so talented that they are still discovering themselves.

Kobe is hot, Lakers in a walk

Nice game last night. Loved how when Denver took the lead late in the game, Bryant and Walton hit the big 3 pointers.

Good series, but consider me underwhelmed.
I still can't figure out how good the Lakers are yet. While putting up a minor fight last night, Denver looked like they just rolled over and died.

I hope the collective ego of LA has not blown up too much after the sweep. Utah will be a much tougher test.

I don't give Utah that much respect... Seeing the Lakers in action they are clicking better than any team right now..

Take off the purple and gold glasses dude. Utah presents big matchup problems for the Lakers at every position other than the 2. This is a series where not having Ariza or Bynum could hurt. They've got a solid center who will hit the shot from the outside (can't drop off him at the 3 point line), a very good forward in Boozer, a solid (if inconsistent) two way presence in Kirilenko, and a nasty good PG in Williams. The one spot where the Lakers probably have them is the bench. I see Kobe having to be more of a facilitator in this series for the Lakers to be effective because he's going to get a lot of quick double teams from Sloan. That and he's probably going to have to defend Williams quite a bit. I like Fisher, but he won't be able to rely on his size like he usually can against quick guards as Williams is pretty damn strong himself.

Phoenix was 3-1 against San Antonio in the regular season. So what?

Of course Utah is beatable, but they're still going to be very tough. (assuming they can close the deal vs. HOU this weekend)

I'll give Utah 1 game, before being eliminated. That is if they can get past lowely Houston.

...and San Antonio was 1-3 in the regular season against Phoenix.
