If the Lakers can get past Utah(or Houston) and make it to the Conference Finals, I'll definitely consider this season a success.

Which means that anything goes in the playoff's. Look at Dallas right now. They are the HOT team. No one gave the series to Dallas, nobody that doesn't live in Dalllas. "Joe Thorton's too much for Dallas "everyone says, but what has he done. So when you talk about records and what has happened, in the playoffs it means jack****! Who's the hot team, no one can stop the Lakers right now! And as for Detriot, I would be worried going up against a Cinderella group in Dallas. I know how deep and strong the Wings are, but so was the bunch from up north!

This season won't mean anything unless we win the Finals. There's no hardware for getting out of the 2nd round.

This season is already a success.

Look past the second round but no further than the Conference Finals. The Jazz (or Rockets) should be a 6 game max and the matchup with the Spurs or Hornets will be the Conference Finals for ages.
