Move over Pete Rose.
as a Lakers fan I really hope it doesn't end up being Dick Bavetta
Nope...its this tool:
Tim Donaghy, a 13 year vet who just resigned recently from the NBA...I wonder why?
Too bad it wasn't Steve Javie or Dan Crawford with his pornstache.
Well now all the sports have their problems:
NBA - Refs fixing games
MLB - Steroids
NFL - Players are criminals
NHL - Nobody is watching
Someone should start watching Mick McGeough...

Over-reaction/typical journalist overblowing the situation, or insightful analysis, what do you guys think?
I'm a long-time NBA viewer (Lakers fan since the early 70s), and always kind of felt that maybe that caught a few breaks from the refs (c'mon, you know Magic traveled quite often and wasn't called), but if that was the case, it would have been the league office being behind it, not the mob.
I think this guy is more right than wrong.
Now, I know even more than ever, that NHL HOCKEY IS THE BEST SPORT, from the excellent athleticism and accessibility of its players, to the time honored traditions like the awarding of SC (oldest trophy in NA sports). Also, the NHL to-date has been relatively unmarred by gambling crises, unlike the MLB, NFL, and now NBA), Tocchet situation notwithstanding.
