Thread: Shaq back to the West?

Good points ASUcruz.

I was listening to the Dan Patrick show this morning on the way to work. He was mentioning how Shaq can still command the double team, so the 3 point shooting threat is going to be bigger than we might imagine. We'll see though, just how healthy Shaq is.

I mean, he still sucks at Free Throws. I personally haven't seen a Miami Heat game all season, so I don't know how effective he is anymore down in the post. But the way I see it is... if Shaq can't run and gun with the Suns... he's going to suffer. If the Suns slow down the pace in the offensive zone, the rest of the team will suffer. But hey, we'll have to see them play a game or two and then judge them. It's definitely a risk, no doubt about it. But sometimes you have to take risks.

I've seen a couple of Heat games this year. As for how Shaq looks....it can be summed up in two words.

Fat and slow.

He is such a shell of his former self he's damn near unrecognizeable. He can put a good game together once in a while but he'll never put them back to back. The dude is just way out of shape.

David Stern is a very happy man this morning.

If Shaq gets motivated, things could get interesting, but he's just a bad match for the offense PHX runs.
