Sports Question 3-12-09
Chris Kamen yesterday (the day after a 19 point fourth quarter collapse by the Clippers) "If I was a fan, and I know I shouldn't say this because they pay our salary, I wouldn't pay for this mess.
Is he just being refreshingly honest or is he out of control?
Also, who is actually a Clipper fan and why would you be with a winning basketball team sharing the same building.
He's being honest. Props to him.
I think their owner went into the Clipper locker room about 1-2 weeks ago and openly insulted all the players individually or something. Obviously, that didnt' work.
As for Clipper fans, I think the majority of them don't really exist to be honest. When the Clippers made their playoff run 2 years ago, 70% were bandwagoners that came out of no where. The other 20% just probably root for the Clippers because they are always in the Lakers shadow. They just like the "underdog" type team that never wins.
I know a person who has Clipper season tickets, but only because he loves the game of basketball and can't afford Lakers season tickets.
Kamen is kewl just for bringing it up... even if his bosses don't like it. If Donald Sterling doesn't want this to happen he should floor a better squad, plain and simple.
As for the second part, there is no such thing as Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny or a gods honest Clipper fan. The are only Laker fans who are waiting for their jerseys to come back from the cleaners.
Hes just saying what EVERYONE is feeling/thinking.
I not a true fan of any NBA team but do root for the Clips more than the lakers just because I hate all the laker talk and everyone kissing their ass all the time. I would not go see either team unless t was work related adn I had to or it was at CBBA or the Honda Centre.
