It's hard to hate Arizona hoops at this point. They're just another game on the Pac-10 schedule nowadays.

I should stop watching these games. They seem to enjoy long scoring droughts whenever I'm watching. I caught the end of this game, like I did the ASU game, and sheesh...

If Dragovic takes another last possession shot for us with the game in question, I'm gonna lose my ****.

I won't comment much more, I wasn't watching this game all that carefully.

Another pathetic second-half collapse. No depth, no post game.

    Thank God for the Lakers.

I missed the game entirely, so I was surprised to see that Shipp had 25, but then I read this:

Draggin'bitch had 2 boards, Aboya had 4? And WTF with the free throw discrepancy? Did they seriously shoot 43 foul shots to our 15?!!

I generally find BN to be a load of crap when it comes to analysis, but this post was interesting.

It's pretty simple, our team is a bunch of weaklings, comparatively.

    Last Year's Rotation:
    Darren Collison: Very Weak
    Russell Westbrook: Very Strong
    Josh Shipp: Average
    Kevin Love: Very Strong
    Luc Richard: Very Strong

    Mata-Real: Legitimately Strong
    Aboya: Very Strong
    Keefe: Average

    This Year's Rotation:
    Darren Collison: Very Weak
    Jrue Holliday: Legitimately Strong
    Josh Shipp: Average
    Alfred Aboya: Very Strong
    Nikolai Dragovich: Weak

    Michael Roll: Weak
    Keefe: Average
    Gordon: Legitimately Strong

You cannot lose the amount of talent that we lost and expect to remain awesome. How do you replace a guy like Kevin Love? Similarly though, you will lose close games because your guys can't impose their physical will like UCLA used to. True, you can't teach size or speed, but there is no good reason why Collison isn't 10lbs heavier or Dragovich isn't stronger than he is. You'd think these guys would want to play in the NBA, but they're leaving millions of dollars on the table by being so weak.

    Oh well.

UCLA had 4 very strong players last year, now they've just got one(and he's not very good at basketball.) UCLA basketball was always physical and rebounds/loose balls looked a lot like the Heathcliff dust-clouds, but we'd always end up with the ball. Not this season. How many points did Love score from offensive rebounds per game last season? How many have we scored this year for the entire season?

Seems like UCLA basketball has a predictable ebb-and-flow. Play mediocre basketball against some weak teams to start, get a bit full of themselves and forget Howland's fundamentals, get frustrated by a loss or two in the middle of the schedule, typically against a Pac-10 foe, get reinspired.

If a couple losses is what it takes to get the kids going (or to piss Howland off enough to whip the kids a bit), so be it. Glad to see they might be putting it together a bit now.

Psst... Jrue, your talent is showing.

Drago the Machine continues. I love it.

Holiday looks better and better every game, and I love Gordon's athleticism.
