This is probably best.

It was only a guess on my part based on, well, SC being SC.

Tim Floyd... ha!

It ha$ begun...
"One of the people who delivered opening remarks at Renardo Sidney's college announcement today was Chris Rivers, who is Reebok's director of basketball sports marketing. More than 200 people attended a catered banquet in the Fairfax High School gym." - Scott Wolf
BTW, Scott Wolf claims UCLA was spinning the story and that Sidney chose USC outright, so we quickly reported that we pulled out to save face.
This is why some of us are a bit leery of even the insidesocal.com blogs, despite the "reputable" sources. There isn't much journalism going on in most blogs, despite the job Rich Hammond has done. If you read carefully, you'll see that he hasn't even claimed that this is his opinion, or that it is from a legitimate source, but presents it misleadingly like it might be both.

Tim Floyd to Arizona...
I think this might hurt us. No, Floyd stinks, it has the feeling of a rat jumping ship, and if he does what he's done at SC at UA, they're going to regret hiring him. But...
... there's a rumor that Jamie Dixon would be interested in the SC job. That... would hurt.

Ha, nevermind then! I guess he's enjoying the overall "lack of institutional control" at USC. Enjoy it while it lasts...

Interesting article from the Times about the Renardo Sidney situation.
I guess he was stuck with Mississippi State after UCLA and USC pulled out.
Nothing too new or shocking, really. It just kind of sums it all up. A reminder of how crazy the world of high school and AAU basketball can be.
