I wouldn't mind the Jets, then I stumbled upon The Gang Green forum.
They make Ducks fans look like MENSA members.
EDIT: And good for the Seahawks. Would be something if they came out of the NFC on top.
with all the **** talking going on this week I really really hope the Jets win because I know how much it'll sting the Pats. But I think that the smack talk will just make it harder because you can bet Brady and crew will be fired up for the game.
Welker's rant about feet and toes was brilliant. Pats have already won the ****-talking war i.m.o. just hope the JETS get the last laugh.
Ok, this weeks picks.
Steelers win in a close one...because they are dirty and they have home field.
Falcons upset the Packers...it shouldn't be an upset, it's in their building, but everyone has annointed Green Bay the eventual NFC champ...I think that bites them in the ass.
Hurm??? Seahawks at Bears. Should be closer than you would think. And sorry Doug...if Cutler goes all...well. Cutler...Hawks may be able to steal one. Probably not...BEARS in a coin-flip.
Damn. I want my JETS to win. Gonna hear about it forever if they don't...all the **** talking...I love Rex Ryan...truly love the man...but if the Jets can just NOT get embarrased it will be a victory. PATRIOTS in what will hopefully be a classic game.
Welker's rant was quite funny.
Ravens-Steelers: This is going to be a slobberknocker, no doubt! Big Ben may have another big moment against the Ravens, but Baltimore won't go that easy. I'm only picking Pittsburgh because they have the home-field. It should be close, though.
Jets-Patriots: I soooo want to see the Jets take out Brady and his hair. They need to invoke havoc on him early, if they want any chance at winning. However, Brady will spin his witchcraft and "The Sanchise" will likely have a tough time with New England's secondary. Pats by more than 10.
Packers-Falcons: Green Bay may have been a little fortunate to get by the Eagles with the uncharacteristic tank job by David Akers in Philly's kicking game. But, their defense proved they are lightning fast in getting to Vick. Atlanta just doesn't strike me as a legitimate contender, especially the way they looked against the Saints in Week 17. Aaron Rodgers is out to prove he is one of the elite QBs in the NFL, and I think he finds a way to win.
Seahawks-Bears: Seattle squeaked by the Bears on the road back in Week 6. But, that was without Lance Briggs playing and before the Bears had their bye-week. Chicago went 7-2 after they made their adjustments following that loss. The Hawks may be without Lofa Tatupu for this game and this may be the difference for a Bears running game that should facilitate Jay Cutler in NOT having to do his best Rex Grossman impression and throw into double and triple coverage. The defense will also get to Hasslebeck. Da Bears will not lose twice at home to the worst playoff team in NFL history. :)
we only disagree on the Falcons...I got a feeling sir...Dirty Birds are going to get it done. We shall see...
I'm picking Seahawks, Jets, Steelers, and Falcons.
I got a feeling, too, my brother. That the Bears and Packers are on a long overdue collision course to an NFC Championship game for the longest standing rivalry in the league.
The two teams haven't played against each other in a playoff game since 1941. It just reeks of fate.
P.S. - I'll be rooting for the Falcons. :)
