Colin Cowherd on ESPN Radio already predicted an ASU win over USC. His reasoning? USC plays Cal before and UCLA after, a letdown after Cal and looking ahead at UCLA. Is the USC @ ASU game really on Thanksgiving Day?

Yup, its on thanksgiving night.
Those are nice reasons and all, ASU very well may be a trap game for the Trojans but they fell into that same trap last year with UCLA. I doubt it'll happen again.
Plus they have a bye week after the Cal game. So there's no quick turnaround.
The bottom line though is I don't think ASU is good enough to be SC.
SC gets to open at home against the redheaded stepchild of Idaho college athletics....the University of Idaho Vandals. First meeting between the schools in 78 years, Tommy Trojan's third stringers could beat them. Final score...USC 70 Idaho 10.
For the record I am a Bruins fan, but no chance in hell of Idaho pulling the upset.

Also, for those who didn't know already... get ready for kickoffs from the 30-yard line this year. (it was previously the 35-yard line)
At least they got rid of those ridiculous clock changes last year.
30 yard kick offs are going to be crazy. Imagine how many more TDs a player like reggie bush will scored with an extra 5 yards of jukes...
In college football at least, because of the dilution of talent, special teams has always been more important than it should have been. Now it's going to be crazy important, and crazy fun.
