Not an outstanding line by any means, but still WAY better looking than his performance was. Mostly dinky little screen passes that go for big yards. He can't throw the long ball to save his life, but his biggest flaw in my opinion is his complete lack of vision. He seems to telegraph most of his passes, and worse, he never seems to be able to see things at the line and make adjustments OR find the right guy in the right coverage. I figured since last year was his first year and he was starting to look a little better towards the end of it (other than the UCLA game, but the O-line deserve equal credit for that blowup), he could put it all together this season. No way. He simply isn't that great at all, and it will infuriate me if (or rather, when) he ends up with more heisman votes than Colt Brennan (and about 5 - 10 other more deserving QBs).
Oh well. I'm 3 - 1 on the year so far; USC was my only miss today.

I've just come to hate the massive disparity between the haves and the have nots in this game. And while it may come back to bite the Michigans once every blue moon, I find it disturbing that the system punishes a Tennessee for showing the balls to take on a tough Cal team, while rewarding the Oklahahomas and Ohio States for beating up on patsies. Yeah, I know strength of schedule is taken into account, but push comes to shove, the only thing that will matter at the end of the year is the 1 in the L column versus the 0 (with some exceptions, of course).Quote:

Man, I almost wish I was still in Ann Arbor to see all the crying Wolverine fans. I hope they finally realize that Lloyd Carr ain't the right coach for that job. The Wolverines have been overrated for years, thanks in large part to underachieving quarterbacks and an iffy secondary. This was a needed wake-up call, and maybe now the alumni will realize how mediocre they've been during the Carr era before and since the 1997 championship year. If you look at the records, it's actually pretty uninspiring for a "national powerhouse."
