You guys are actually hoping for players to be injured now?

I can't wait to see them play Cal, or Oregon. I'm not dreaming, they'll most likely beat Notre Dame bad in South Bend but damnit if the Irish win it'll make my season!

Yeah, that's pretty sad. Disgusting really.

However, it's equally irritating that you're hoping that they can prove Reggie Bush received gifts illegally in hopes of what? That they get stripped of the National Championship? That's fair, I'll agree. However, it doesn't make that team any less effective than they were, and it doesn't make Reggie any less effective than he was. Illegal gifts or not, they still won those games with talent, not padded pockets.

Back on track, after watching these last two games of USC, as a USC fan, I really don't feel they deserve to be in the top 25. Honestly. If Pete can't see that Booty is playing like sour booty, and if they actually have to survive a game against an unrated although talented Washington team, and lose even a close one to Stanford... Stanford... holy jeebus Stanford... how are they even in the top 10?

I won't make excuses for them. They sucked ass, and if they don't pull their heads out of their asses, they won't even win thee Pac-10. As it stands now, I don't see what hope they have. Maybe they were over-rated coming into this season, but what happended to the team that was putting in the second and third stringers against RANKED opponents? I guess they just assumed the BCS would hand them the championship. They flat out sucked, and gave that game away, and TRIED to give the game to Washington. How bad of a team do you have to be to lose a game where the other team commits almost 200 yards in penalties and gives you the ball 4 times?

No, if he cheated and SC knew about it, then they should be punished. It's very obvious that if SC had any sort of knowledge of this sort of stuff that it taints their program in numerous ways. You can see the obvious recruiting implications which does affect who plays on the field, and Reggie was an ineligible player if he was getting paid on the side.

There's a pretty big difference than that and hoping somebody has broken bones.

    A) I stated that it's fair if they prove it and USC gets punished.

    B) I said equally irritating, not disgusting. In other words, it's as irritating to me that you cling to these hopes as it is disgusting to me when anyone hopes anyone else is hurt.

I don't think anybody is hoping that Booty gets hurt. The fact is that Booty broke a finger during the Stanford game, so people are hoping that Sanchez gets an opportunity to play.

This is more like wishing for a player to get an opportunity due to an already acquired injury.

I never said I hoped for him to get injured. I said I hoped it was true that he was already injured. Personally if he was perfectly fine and Carroll came out and said "ok I finally realized that Booty is an underachiever, I'm putting Sanchez in" I'd feel just as good.
