    Default Kurt Warner retires

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner retires after 12 NFL seasons - ESPN

Good guy, class act...his wife is a bit of an oddjob, but sad to see him go. Should easily be a Hall of Famer simply for the numbers he put up. Arizona winning last year would have made it a lock but he should still make it.

Kurt Warner had some great seasons but I'm not sure if he's a lock hall of famer. He had five big time years and a bunch of mediocre ones. His fine performances in the playoffs will help him a lot, and he could easily have three Super Bowl Rings. But when he comes on the ballot in five years the luster might have waned.

We'll see, personally I wouldn't mind if he was in, but I just think the luster might wear off when he's eligible in five years.

You get the Rams and the Cardinals into the Super Bowl, you're making the Hall. First ballot? Not sure

He may be 1-2, but I think he's in my conversation of "if I needed a qb to lead my team in the Super Bowl, who would it be"

All fair points but let's not pretend that Marshall Faulk had nothing to do with the Rams making the Super Bowl.

Like I said, I wouldn't mind seeing Warner get in and I think he will. I'm just playing a little Devil's Advocate.

I contend that in 99, Faulk was great, but part of that was that he caught so many balls out of the backfield.

99 Warner if Super Tecmo Bowl existed would throw for 100 yards and a touchdown per pass
