Not to mention the Pac-10 won't waive the one year transfer thing. So, if they're going to leave, they can't go to UCLA or any other local school. They'd have to go outside the conference.

As a Trojan, SC got what it deserved. A lot of young SC recruits are really pissed off right now and rightfully so. Mike Garrett is a piece of ****, OJ Simpson is a piece of ****, and I'm not sure Lane Kiffin is quality either. I will root for them because of the pride and history of the school, but the whole athletics department needs an enema. I can't wait to see what pranks UCLA and Stanford have for us in the coming years.
As an aside, there is probably no place worse in the world than LA when it comes to glam, priveledge, wealth, power, etc and it's a shame that young athletes that come from poor families get targeted and seduced into making bad decisions.
Garrett should shoulder much of the blame, but if I was a USC fan I'd be as upset with Carroll (the timing of his departure reeks) and Floyd (ditto, and he left because he "lost enthusiasm" only to take another job a year later) too. The latter... sheesh, what a creep.
I can't see how they can move forward with Garrett, and given that that slimy bastard Kiffin is a Garrett hire, I'd be a bit scared.
I'm sorry but........:taunt:

Bruins....rise.

I don't know about this most over-rated business, but I'd like poke that guy in the eye. It's quite obvious why he left when he did, and I wasn't happy at all with his crush on Barkley.
And Fuego... that cuts to the bone man...
I agree with you on that. A Fuego can dream can't he though? I think in the short term there might be some recruits that want to stay in this area or not move to far from SC, or ones that UCLA wazs their second choice after SC where we might see some of them come the Bruins way. However for this to have a long term effect on UCLA, they're gonna have to do something in the next year or two otherwise said northern schools will reap the benefits...not to mention the potential of other schools joining the conference.
Sorry, I really didn't mean to be a dick and laugh at SC's misfortune but its been some hard years in recent history so I'm allowed one prickish moment to point and laugh. Ya'll got trophies to point at...lol.
