Nice to see the Panthers rallying around Delhomme. He has had a really good game today(so far). Maybe he transferred the bad mojo to Kurt Warner during that pregame hug. Panthers really need to finish strong in order to save John Fox's job. They do not need to make the playoffs but they have to win about 70% of the rest of their games. They are stuck with Delhomme after signing him to an extension, and they do not have anyone waiting in the wings. One good thing is that they have 2 monster backs in Williams/Stewart.

hahah at least most raider fans can relate and have something in common with their team's coach... domestic violence

Cool...the Panthers crapped the bed, and the hapless Jets get to be the Patriots chewtoy in New England on Sunday...well, that frees up my Sunday!

Hopefully this is the first step towards restoring credibility to the Browns franchise.
Mike Holmgren agrees to deal as Cleveland Browns president - ESPN
Those fans deserve some good football. They lost their team...fought hard to get one back...just to be subjected to a perennial doormat. Holmgren is a smart guy and brings big-boy respectability to a team that really has been a doormat/punchline since their return to the league. Good luck Browns fans!

Sweet Xst!!!!! why didn't Fox go to Moore earlier in the season????? The kid has a solid arm and he protects the ball. Panthers finish 8-8, does Fox save his hash? Or has Cowher already been contacted/signed up. I love Fox as head coach, but if Cowher can put my cardiac cats over the edge...then so be it. No first round picks...so we have to find magic with Moore(hell yea) OR Delhomme(not a chance). I love my cats...but they need some recievers and some linemen that will not go down with season ending injuries 3 games in. This team is close...and in an NFC that is soft, it's ripe for the taking.

Jets got lucky, but they belong in playoffs - AFC East Blog - ESPN
Ok, black Monday and so far Zorn and the entire staff of Buffalo has to hit Monster.com. Cable is reportedly on the outs...who else? Does Mangini keep his job? Will Del Rio finally get the axe??? Anyone have any longshots to get fired? First round playoff predictions...Jets, Ravens, Eagles, and Cardinals.

saw those firings coming a mile away, i think cable will be out as well, not sure about del rio, and the browns wont fire mangini after the first year unless holmgren fires him, which i can see but probably not this season. im thinking coughlin (nyg) will get the axe as well, he got lucky the 2 seasons before this one... and the 5-0 start? LOL!!! everyone talks about it, but they never mention the crappiness of those teams (was, dal,tb,kc, & oak) except squeeking by in dallas where romo threw 3int's... sorry im a giants/eli manning hater

BAL @ NE - this one is a tough call.. brady is brady, but i think with his security blanket wes welker out of the picture baltimore can fully concentrate on randy moss, i am going to take balitmore for the more balanced team on both sides of the ball, the pats dont have a playoff worthy defense imo
GB @ ARI - another tough call, same situation as the jets/bengals, arizona didnt play warner, but boldin & rodgers-cromartie are supposedly hurt and game-time decisions, but im going to take green bay for some reason, they are playing tough
PHI @ DAL - same as yesterday, the cowboys looked like contenders to go all the way last night, but the eagles will be out for revenge for sure, and mcnabb has been solid in the playoffs throughout his career just has trouble in the nfc championship games, and its tough to say wether or not romo will choke, he is known for not playing well in december & big scenario games (even though he did yesterday and this december to a certain extent) gonna take philly

Yeah I was thinking Coughlin Might get tossed too, but it looks like management is going to be satisfied with him revamping (firing) his assistants. The possible lock-out is saving a few folks jobs because a lot of teams do not want to big deal a coach just to wind up paying them during a lock-out. That's primarily why John Fox got retained because his contract runs out at the end of next season. Cannot understand why Davis would fire Cable(who wants the job and managed to get them competetive). Sure there is the embarrassing off the field stuff, but that's par for the course with the Raiders.
