RIP Gaines Adams
As a Buc fan this one is really sad...
Former-Buccaneers and current Bears DE Gaines Adams died of apparent cardiac arrest at the age of 26.
He was the #4 pick in the 2007 draft and had lofty expectations placed on him which never really panned out, but he was never a distraction, trouble maker or otherwise bad teammate and was still at his young age, full of potential.
Its always tragic to lose someone young but even more so to lose a good guy, which Gaines always seemed to be.
My heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and teammates. RIP Gaines.

As a Bears fan, it is a sad day. Adams was going to be a big part of the defense moving forward with the possible losses of Ogunleye and Anderson to free agency. I was looking forward to see what the change of scenery was going to do for him and joining a better defensive team.
Very sad, indeed, to have a young life cut so short.
