You're comparing apples and coconuts...

Dogs are domesticated animals. Every hunter I know does something with their kill, not just go out, shoot it and then leave it there to die. Generally hunted prey are used for food, clothing, etc. And lastly, how many hunters do you know that breed the animals and then kill off the ones who don't measure up to what they're looking for?

There are a TON of other issues with your argument, but I'll leave those for others to bring up.

so its ok to kill animals just as long as u dont breed them? what about famers that breed cows and kill them?

The biggest difference is that what MV did was ILLEGAL. What hunters do is LEGAL. If someone went out and shot a deer illegally they would probably get fined, possible jail time, hunting license possibly revoked. The severity would depend on the circumstances.

No. . .the biggest difference is that he isn't going to prison for killing dogs. He's going for operating an illegal gambling ring over state lines and lying about it to a grand jury.

You don't get 23 months in the slammer for animal cruelty.
