    Hey, this thread is alive!

Keep an eye out on the Golf Channel for the Bobby Jones series "How I Play Golf" and "How to Break 90".

    http://imdb.com/name/nm0427602/

Although they're over 70 years old, they're chock full of good information on playing golf.

It's where I got a lot of help and I just shot an 82 the other day after less than three years of play.

    Who's watching the Masters?

How about Rory Sabbatini's eagle putt on the 8th?

It rivals the Woods chip from a couple years ago.

    Simply brilliant!

I'm not a golf enthusiast, but my buddy told me to turn the channel to watch and that putt was just DISGUSTING.

That brilliant putt by Sabbatini was not enough to propel him to victory.

Sabbatini wound up in a three-way tie for 2nd, with Goosen and some other dude, at +3.

Zach Johnson (no relation to Jack) wins at +1, the highest winning score at Augusta in some 50 years.

got back from vacation this week, so I was only able to watch the round today.

maybe Zach was channeling the powers of Jack???

anyhow, it was nice to sit back on my own couch and watch some HDTV.

Louisville and Savannah was where I was with the family. I may have a Louisville Cardinal in the household.

Woods converts only one birdie in his last 32 holes, and Angel Cabrera becomes the first Argentinian to win the U.S. Open, by one stroke over Woods and Furyk.

What an incredibly ugly tournament, but despite all the crabbing and moaning about how the course made the players look bad, blah, blah, blah, I thought it was great. I WANT to see professionals tossing down triple bogeys multiple times on the front nine. I love the idea, and it goes to show you how much power and distance has come to win out over smart shot-making and accuracy as a whole, some of these players were just lost.

I have to say, I've been a big Justin Rose fan for a long time, but this guy just does not know how to turn it up on the last day. +6 after starting the day in contention?! And can someone go out and talk Furyk down off the ledge?

    Travelers this weekend.

Yeah, there were some bad rounds out there last week, but it was fun watching it. I must say I like watching them go low, because it amazes me that they can get to 25 under par on any course, but I also like watching them pull off difficult shots to earn their par.

There were a number of disappointments on Sunday, with guys like Stricker and Ames making moves up the leaderboard only to screw themselves on a couple of holes to fall way out of contention.

But, my biggest disappointment was Tiger... Considering how beautifully he hit the ball on Saturday, I thought Sunday would be his day. Unfortunately, after the first hole he looked off all day. Just couldn't hit enough good shots in a row, and couldn't make anything on the greens all week. Like Daugherty said on Saturday, "If Tiger putted like me, he would have had a 64"...

This is two majors in a row where he's had at least a share of the lead at some point on Sunday and his ball striking has let him down... It's either a bad sign, or it will be crazy motivation for him going forward.
Have you ever guessed somebody's gender wrong? There's no recovering from that. You just gotta move on, cause you ain't wriggling outta nothin'.
    "Hey, excuse me, sir?"
    "Maam."
"Okay." "Okay, bye... bye, human. Bye person. Nice to meet you, individual."
