My high school didn't have a pool. Hell, the school I went to my freshman year didn't even have a swim team. I had to petition CIF to let me compete for the school! Switched to a different school my sophomore year, and our team had to practice at the "brother school's" pool. Pervy little boys always had a show when the girls came for practice and meets. I only showed up for meets since I just trained with my club twice a day.

The only chance he won't get one of the Gold Medal is if his team chokes it on the 4x200 Free Relay Race tonight.

Two factors for this. He had another medal race earlier in the day with the 200 Meter Butterfly. Yes, the Butterfly is his easiest event, but I don't know if that'll be a factor in his fatigue for the relay.

Plus, in the last team relay... his teammates came through for him. I don't know if he'll have the same teammates for this one, so you never know.

Then on Thursday Night/Friday Morning (China time), he has a tough 200 individual medley. I believe it's fellow American Ryan Lochte that will give him a hell of a challenge. You would think that Lochte would get 2nd on purpose so Phelps could achieve the goal of 8 gold medals. But I don't think any athletes believe in that.

They'd want to go 1-2 either way, but who knows.

Friday Night/Saturday Morning (China Time), it's the 100 Butterfly. The Butterfly is his strongest event, so I think he can do it easily.

Last of all, he has another team relay. The 4x100 medley relay. I don't know what to expect here, but his teammates should be more than capable of handling it. By the time this race happens, we'll know if Phelps has 7 gold medals already or not. This could be icing on the cake, for his team to get it for him.

Who knows. It's definitely a tough task overall... since no one else can pull it off.

Eh, they won by over 5 seconds and smashed the world record by over 4.......Guess they didn't choke like the Gymnastics teams.

haha, I saw that.

They act like no one notices that one of the Chinese gymnasts is probably about 8 years old.
