I CALL BS, just last week some American beat his record adn suddenly he get this injury just 10 days before the Superbowl of competitive eating? just a lil too convenient, he running scared and denying the American his shot at a legit title shot. even if the American wins it will be less of a victory without him there

Now im not really saying this is a sport, but it has more of a place on espn than, say, poker. I remembering watching some insider type show on the preparation that Kobayashi went through to get into 'shape' to do this type of this and it was really amazing.
