Wow, they must have offered him a TON of money cause he'll be asleep within 45 seconds of the first round. I love the guy as one of the founders of the sport and have nothing but respect for him, but man he's looked like total crap in his last 4 or 5 fights that he's had. Even all those against Tito. Sad.
Jackson Charged in July 15 Arrest
Rampage has been formally charged.
Luckily for Rampage:Jackson, who sent authorities on a vehicular chase through the streets and sidewalks of Costa Mesa and Newport Beach, was charged with “one felony count of evading while driving recklessly, one felony count of evading a peace officer and driving against traffic, three misdemeanor counts of hit and run with property damage, and one misdemeanor count of reckless driving.”
Well, that's one good piece of news.Holly Griggs, 38, of Huntington Beach, was reportedly one of the victims sideswiped by Jackson in her 2007 Escalade vehicle. She has since miscarried a 16-week pregnancy.
Jackson has not been charged for Griggs’ loss beyond the aforementioned allegations.
“We reviewed all the medical records and spoke with the victim’s physician and the evidence showed that the loss of the fetus was not related to the crash,” said Farrah Emami, spokesperson for the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
Real interesting rumor floating now. I don't buy it happening, but it makes for fun times. . .
Rumor: Couture to Headline UFC 91 in Portland, OR | Red Sweat
Unless the UFC somehow managed to secure Fedor's services, I highly doubt that we'll see Couture in the octagon again.
That's something I thought too, but consider this (unlikely) scenario:
The UFC and Couture are in this legal mess right now. Neither side wants any part of it because, really, there won't be any winners. What if they're in some negotiation for Randy to have one more fight to get out of his deal? Just as a way to make some more money off him, but let him out after? It's not likely (because the UFC never worked that way), but isn't there some remote chance that this is a compromise on both sides?
Again, I don't believe this will happen, but stranger things have in life.
I do believe that they are negotiating towards some sort of compromise, but if Randy were to go back, you can guarantee it'd be with a hefty raise, thereby tarnishing his image by further proving he's all about the money.
If he loses, the appeal of the Fedor fight wears off even more than it already has.
Nog's tied up in TUF, and there's no one else they can justify fighting Randy for the title. (Unless it's a non-title fight, in which case, you can bet he'd be fighting Brock)
If it IS a title fight, there is the risk that Randy would more or less lay down just to get it over and done with, thereby tainting the win for the (new) champ, but it allows him to escape unscathed for his fight with Fedor in Affliction.
Just doesn't make sense to me.
