Can Fedor just come to the UFC again and kill Couture?
So, Randy lost and Brock is the new HW champ. Fedor was beaten in the semi-final of the sambo tournament this weekend. MMA is falling apart!!!
Too bad about Randy. I really figured he'd find a way to win. But good for Brock for making the most of the opportunity. Having said that, hopefully Nog will beat Mir and then sub Brock and Brock's reign will be nice and short.

Fitch apparently cut by the UFC for refusing to sign away his likeness rights?!
Jon Fitch, Christian Wellisch and possibly others cut by UFC at UFC blog for UFC news, results, videos, rumors, fights, pics and tickets — MMAmania.com
If true, Zuffa really has taken this exclusivity a little too far.

Follow up to that story.
UFC drops Fitch, AKA fighters - MMA - Yahoo! Sports
I'm not sure what is going on, but I agree that Dana seems like he's going overboard here. Seems a little bit insane to cut Fitch and possibly Koscheck. Really? Over a video game?
Well that didn't take too long
Fitch Back in UFC Fold
As for the fates of welterweight contender Josh Koscheck and heavyweight prospect Cain Velasquez -- both of whom were rumored to be next on the chopping block -- as well as heavyweight Christian Wellisch, who was cut along with Fitch on Wednesday, Cook stated that all of the fighters have worked out agreements to remain with the UFC.
How about some post fight matchmaking?
This one is pretty easy as Lesnar will face the winner of Minotauro and Frank Mir. Brock was very impressive in winning the title. I wouldn't say he completely dominated the fight but he definitely controlled the fight right up until the stoppage. Brock is just so massive that if he touches you with his punches it's going to do some damage. If he can keep improving his ground game, specifically his submission defense and if he can learn 1-2 submissions he could be unstoppable in a year or two.
As of right now though he is still pretty raw, against Mir I think he would win. He was dominating that fight and I think if he gets Mir in that position again he'll finish it. I don't think Mir is the toughest guy by any means and if that fight hadn't gotten stood up because of hits to he back of the head he would have been done.
Against Minotauro I would make Lesnar the underdog, a slight one though. I think Minotauro's stand up is more refined than either Mir or Lesnar and he could keep the fight standing if he wanted. I don't know if he could get the takedown against Brock but if the fight hits the ground I could see Minotauro surviving the onslaught and slapping a submission on Lesnar. Regardless, I'm hoping big Nog wins cause I really want to see that fight.
Are they are other TUF alums that have improved as much as Florian? Maybe Forrest but in my book it is Florian, his game has grown leaps and pounds. To be able to basically dominate a high level BJJ guy like Stevenson says a lot. Not to mention his stand up is very polished and his long and lanky stature is a problem in itself. I think Florian deserves a shot at BJ’s title. He’s dominated two very solid fighters in Roger Huerta and Joe Stevenson but with BJ fighting GSP Ken-Flo could be in for a long layoff. Maybe they set up a fight with Sean Sherk? If I were him though I’d wait for a title shot.
This guy is fun to watch, I read something that said he has earned over 100 K in submission of the night bonuses. Very impressive. He’s fought one high level guy in Josh Koscheck and he got torched, but I think he should get another fight against a top 10 guy. I think a fun fight to watch would be one against Diego Sanchez. Both good submission guys, but Diego likes to push a fight while Hazelett seems to be more meticulous in setting things up. Another good fight would be against Chris Lytle. He seems to be the ultimate gatekeeper at 170.
Gonzaga looked great albeit against a weak opponent. He is a fun HW to watch, I would put him in there against the guy who just KO’d Werdum. That would make for an exciting fight. I would rather have Gonzaga fight some of these young guys rather than a vet like Heath Herring. A fight against Cain Velazquez or Shane Carwin would be very interesting but I doubt the UFC would want to throw either of those two into the deep end so to speak. Not yet at least.
Another slick BJJ practitioner, I hope Anderson Silva is still fighting when Maia is past his developmental stage. I think it could be a really interesting fight provided Maia continues to improve his game. Anyways for now the UFC should keep moving Maia up the ladder, I would like to see him fight fellow Brazilian Thales Leites. I think a fight with Michael Bisping would be a good one, but he seems to be getting the winner of Henderson-Franklin, which doesn’t seem to make sense since they are fighting at 205.
