Good event tonight, lots of knockouts/subs...thus, extra fights
Love that Koscheck got KTFO. A little surprised at the outcome, but, Marquardt looked solid. Sanchez only impressive in that he was in front of a one-trick pony.
Like seeing Koscheck getting knocked out as well. Diego's entrance was hilarious.
Anyone else not very interested in the card this weekend? This will be one of those times where I don't feel bad for downloading it the next day.
On a related note, a buddy just sold me his tickets for UFC 97! Finally going to see it live! Can't wait!!!
I'm interested in this card, I will one up you...I'm going to stream it!
I actually think it has some decent matchups to be honest. Is Rampage back? Does Carwin have more than potential? Does Gonzaga have a heart to go along with his tools? I'm always interested to see if Kendall Grove lives up to what he can do also. Me and ASU have been a fan of his, but he's made it tough.
Didn't really want to spend money for this card so we just went to a nice sports bar, paid a $7 cover and had some solid food. This card was great, not in terms of meaningful fights but just the overall action. I would not have been disappointed had I bought this card!
On a MMA-related note, apparently Mask from TapouT was killed in a car accident late last night/early this morning.
If true, it's sad. Love or hate the gimmick, he was truly an MMA fan who sponsored a lot of fighters and did his best to help promote the sport. Having said that, the car was going very fast, and was apparently racing with some other car, the driver of which was drunk. It remains to be seen if Mask was actually the driver and if he had been drinking or not.
