I like that it's an interim title fight only because then it's a 5 round fight. So I don't mind it.

AND the fact that if Sherk does lose his appeal, Dana doesn't have to scramble to put together a "title" fight between Stevenson/Penn and someone else.

I agree, I have no problem with his handling of it. That being said, Penn in the 2nd by strikes.

I am pleasantly surprised by this. Part of me thought that the UFC would give Lesnar a few show case fights(think Eddie Sanchez) but instead they throw him in there against Frank Mir.

Yea, Frank Mir isn't a top 10 HW. But he's still an outstanding grappler who has been in the Octagon many times before. He is definitely not some pushover.

Yea, I think it'll be a good test for Lesnar. Mir is a whiz on the ground and Lesnar will probably take the fight to the mat with his wrestling skills.

Never was a big Tanner fan. Not really the most talented fighter, more of an overachiever but a name to put back into the 185 pound mix.

Tanner is the man. Overachiever? No doubt. That's probably why I'm a fan.

He's a decent-good fighter. He claims that he knows how to beat Anderson Silva. I highly doubt that!
