Wouldn't happen. It would be a good fight, a huge step up for Fitch but I think it would be a very even fight.

But like I said before, there's no way Matt Hughes' next fight isn't for the title.

GSP to fight Hughes for the interim WW title.

Well didn't see this coming. Interim title fights seem kinda weird but hey I think this makes the card way better.

I'm pleased.

I just really hope GSP can bring his A game with only a 5 week camp.

Right. I think GSP will be fine though, he matches up really well with Matt Hughes. Hughes said he didn't take the second fight seriously, which I don't believe by the way so I guess we should expect a better effort. I don't know I really don't see Hughes winning this fight.

I don't want to say I'm happy that Serra got hurt cause he is the champion but I think this turned out the best for us fans.

As most of you know, Serra has dropped out of the fight due to a back injury. I found out and was told that I get to basically pick my opponent. The UFC had called some welterweights, some said they wouldn’t take the fight; but ultimately I got to choose and I chose Georges St. Pierre. I asked to fight GSP.

I think there are a few things that will be in my favor in doing this. I get to fight in Vegas, what I consider my home fighting area, NOT Canada. I don’t think it’s a big deal to switch an opponent over a month out, it’s just not a concern for me. Before I was fighting a guy holding the belt, now I’m fighting a guy that I consider number two in the world. Anyone who thinks this fight will be like the second fight with GSP will be shown wrong on December 29th. THIS IS MY FIGHT!
