Josh Koscheck to fight Dustin Hazlett.
Hazlett is on a winning streak and Koscheck is coming off a loss to GSP. I kinda wanted to see Koscheck meet the loser of Hughes-Serra but Serra's injury kinda fouled things up.
This is a big opportunity for Hazlett. I think he'll be a big dog in this fight, but for all the talk of Koscheck's improved game, he still looks like the same fighter.
You guys been following TUF?
The last episode is next week and the semi's are set. Mac Danzig Vs. Matt Arroyo and George Sotiropoulos Vs. Tommy Speer.
Well actually the teaser for next week mentioned that one of the fighters won't be able to fight and a replacement is needed. I get the feeling that it's Tommy because of his cut. It didn't look like Ben Saunders cut him at all during the fight, but there were a few segments that were focused on how bad that cut was, so my guess is Tommy either isn't cleared to fight, maybe it opens up in training.
Anyways, I think these matchups are pretty good, but it's pretty clear that they wanted to set up a Mac-George finale. Anyways, Mac has looked impressive thus far and while I think he's better than Arroyo, Arroyo has looked good as well. He's got a slick ground game so Mac will probably want to keep this fight standing. Could be an interesting fight with Arroyo going for the takedown and Mac trying to keep the fight standing.
I'm assuming Tommy is out so it's kinda hard to speculate on that matchup. I think it would have been a really good fight though. Tommy with his solid takedowns and strength and George with his well rounded game. We'll see who they get to replace Tommy if he's out.
Here's a link to the audio for the conference call with Dana White, GSP, and Matt Hughes. Good stuff.

Mike Swick to fight Josh Burkman on the January Fight Night Card
http://mmajunkie.com/2007/11/29/mike...-josh-burkman/
This is a good fight night bout. Swick's first fight at 170. I didn't see Burkman's last fight but by all accounts it was very good.
I believe Arroyo is out over a broken arm or something.
you'll note Dana's not exactly rushing to put a "interim" on the hw title
Also, GSP isn't having a five week camp, I believe he's been training for Hughes for weeks already. It's Hughes at a slight disadvantage
For those who haven't heard, the charges against Din Thomas were dropped late last week.

Good to hear for Din. Hopefully now he can just get healthy again and come back strong.
Yea, glad to see he got out of those charges. Sounded pretty serious. Anyways, it was crappy his knee gave out against Ken-Flo. Thought that had the makings of a good fight.
How about Spencer Fisher-Din Thomas.
Really any fight you make at 155 has the makings of a dynamite fight.
Looks good to me. Makes sense too, both are coming off a loss. Good way for one of them to start climbing back towards a title shot.
Very true. I am really looking forward to the Guida / Huerta fight this Saturday. Should be a good show. Both guys seem to have no issues pushing the pace and they both love to stand there and trade. But for whatever reason, most of those 155 guys bring it hard every time they fight.
