Good news, sounds like Tito has accepted a fight with Machida.

    http://www.sherdog.com/news/news.asp?n_id=10900

Can't wait for this one, I really think Tito has the potential to end Machida's win streak. If he gets in the clinch and uses his strength to maul and bully Machida I think he has a chance. I don't think Machida has faced a guy as strong as Tito yet.

Also I kinda dispute the fact about one more round and we would have seen the same BJ. He had put so much punishment on Joe that even if the fight went to the third and BJ gassed, Joe wouldn't have been able to do anything.
I'm just going by the fact that he fell to the ground almost immediately after the fight finished. To me, it didn't seem like he was overcome with joy, but rather with fatigue. And then look when Bruce announces him as the winner, he's leaning up on Herb and then on Joe and breathing very heavy. It could've just been the emotion of it all, but I just don't think so.

As far as the "one more round and same old BJ", I simply meant cardio wise. I agree that Joe was finished at that point and probably wouldn't have mounted much of a comeback.

Just my $0.02. The thing I like about discussing MMA here as opposed Sherdog, is that we can have differences of opinion and not act like children about it.

I really wish Tito would just STFU and let his fights do the talking for him. Problem is, he isn't backing up his mouth with his performances lately. I've never been much of a Tito fan, but he needs to realize that he's not as big as he thinks he is anymore. Where is he going to get this big payday he thinks he is entitled to? EliteXC? M-1 (he can be fighter # 2 on their roster)? IFL? 1 million per fight isn't enough? C'mon Tito, you're best days are behind you. You barely beat Forrest, then beat up an old man twice. Lost to Chuck again, then fought to a draw with Rashad, and you think DANA is the reason you're not getting another title shot anytime soon?

I do think he is a bad matchup for Machida, but after reading that article, I hope Machida chokes the life out of him.

Just more of Tito being Tito. After he gets his ass kicked maybe he'll go away for good.

Hmmmmm, I don't know, nothing during the fight was an indicator of BJ gassing. I don't think one could go off of what you see after the fight to determine whether or not a guy's cardio is up to par. Josh Gros mentioned that after a fight there's a big "emotional dump", especially when you finish the fight. I think I buy that theory, BJ had the energy to hit himself in the face about a dozen time, I think he would have been fine cardio wise.

Nonetheless, his cardio will be tested against Sherk. Can't wait for that fight.

Tito can be an idiot that's for sure. He has a high opinion of himself and I think the growth of the UFC has lowered his value. Back when he was the title holder, Tito was a big draw for the UFC, they needed star power to sell PPVs, and while they still do nowadays I think that is less of an issue.

Tito was a commodity for the UFC, but his market value has lowered and I don't think he realizes this. I still enjoy watching him fight, and I hope he stays in the UFC, only because there are a few matchups I still want to see. Tito-Shogun for example. We'll see what happens, I think this upcoming fight against Machida will be hard to pick.

Fitch gets a new opponent for UFC 82

I've never seen Chris Wilson fight, this will be his UFC debut but he does have a more established resume than say a Houston Alexander, as he's beaten Jay Hieron and Rory Markham. Anyways, should be an interesting fight.

Not a bad Fight Night Card tonight.

Swick Vs. Burkman is a pretty good main event for this type a card. Rest of the card is filled with TUF guys but they seem to be decent matchups. The Alvin Robinson-Nate Diaz fight is one I'm anxious to see.

Their camp is talking crap, Parisyan said. I have respect for Jon Fitch as a person. I have never seen him be cocky. Hes a very humble guy. Hes a great athlete. But everybody thinks Ive been dodging Jon Fitch. Thats never f***ing happened at all. I have never been called on the phone, and never been offered to fight Jon Fitch.

And while Parisyan stood firm in his denial of any knowledge of an offer to fight Fitch, he did admit to requesting an opponent other than Fitch.

You have to understand, Parisyan said, that I was offered a title fight for sure, so I said, You know what? Ill get an opponent that I have a higher percentage of beating. I still think I can beat Jon Fitch. But still, the reality is, its still a tougher fight.
Uh Karo, that's called ducking Jon Fitch

Oh Karo. It's reasons like this WHY you've never gotten that title shot.
